The CIEHF has published new guidance 'Coping with complexity', which is aimed at early career pharmacists, especially those in foundation pharmacist positions managing the transition from education to the workplace environment.
The aim of this resource is to introduce basic theory regarding clinical decision-making in complex situations and to explain how a systems approach can support competency development. The underpinning principles are drawn from the concept of Threat and Error Management which is seen as the overarching safety management approach embedded in commercial pilot training and flight operations.
