My IEHF

Look after your own membership of the IEHF. What do you want to do?

I want to upgrade my membership

You can apply to upgrade your membership at any time, provided you meet the application criteria. See the available membership grades and criteria.

I want to change my contact details

You can update your home and work address, telephone and email details via the Members’ Portal, after logging in. You can also change your preferences for how we contact you. Update your details now.

I want to submit an abstract

If you are submitting an abstract, you can do this via the Members’ Portal without logging in. Submit an abstract.

I want to review an abstract

If you wish to review an abstract, you can do this via the Members’ Portal but you need to log in first, then select ‘Abstracts’ from the menu. Log in.

I want to pay my membership subscription

You can pay by debit or credit card once you’ve logged into the Members’ Portal. You do not need to pay anything until you receive your invoice from us towards the end of the year. Pay your membership subscription now.

I want to change my journal choices

You can see information about available journals, including prices and you can select options on our order form. Download the order form (pdf).

I want to complete and submit my CPD

You must submit your CPD through the Members’ Portal. You can use the IEHF CPD form or submit your employers. See below for further details or submit your CPD now.

We don’t wish to constrain or influence the varied forms that CPD can take and we are keen to encourage and support you in seeking to improve your professional competence, so you can either:

  • Complete the Institute’s CPD form or
  • Submit your employer’s CPD forms (which must cover the principles of assessing your development needs, documenting how those needs are to be met, and reviewing how well these were achieved).

CPD returns are due on the 1st January each year and should be submitted between then and 31st March. Please DO NOT EMAIL your CPD return to the office.

The level of information that we need should not give rise to confidentiality issues. We don’t want to share in the detail as this may involve security or commercial-in-confidence implications. It is understood that some Registered Members and Fellows have been asked by their work organisations not to submit CPD forms to some professional organisations. If this is the case, please let us know.

CPD is about being professional and enhancing and adding value to the services that you provide. It’s also about maintaining the health of the profession and that’s in all our interests. Perhaps most importantly it’s about distinguishing members of the IEHF from ‘amateur’ ergonomists!

If you have any queries please email Elizabeth Howard-Ahern in the IEHF office.
