Work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WRMSDs) are a major problem across all sectors and industries resulting in personal suffering of affected workers and costs to employers due to absences and lost productivity. Researchers from a range of disciplines have accumulated a rich evidence base in relation to the prevention of WRMSDs, for example studies on physical and psychosocial work risk factors for WRMSDs, the management of WRMSDs and successful return-to-work programmes, cost issues associated with WRMSDs, safety issues leading to WRMSDs, training & educations for preventing WRMSDs and many more.

This first multidisciplinary conference will feature the newest Irish and international research evidence specifically relevant to occupational health and occupational health & safety practice. The vision is to create a regular annual Irish conference on Scientific Research for Practice in Occupational Health, Safety and Wellbeing.
