Ergonomics & Human Factors is the annual international conference of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics & Human Factors. It brings together academics and practitioners from all sectors to exchange ideas and information on the latest research, development and applications in ergonomics and human factors. We invite you to submit a paper, design a poster or run a workshop and help us to put together a quality programme packed with opportunities to learn, discuss, network and relax too.
Submission of papers
All papers should be submitted online via a link on the conference website, which will be available soon. All accepted full papers, extended abstracts and posters submitted before the October deadline, will be published in the conference proceedings. If you are making any type of presentation, you must register to attend the conference and pay the fee.
Full papers: If you are an industrial practitioner with a case study or an academic with some new research and you would like to explore an issue in depth and detail, please consider submitting a full paper. These should be up to eight pages long and will be peer reviewed.
Extended abstracts: If you are a researcher or practitioner who has an example of work that may be still in progress, or that provides an interesting case study, you can submit an extended abstract of up to two pages. You could consider a dual presentation with a client of a practical case study.
Posters: If you wish to demonstrate and discuss your latest research and developments in progress, you could submit a poster. This could be a practical case study, development of a new tool or innovative idea. You will need to submit a descriptive paper of up to two pages which will be peer reviewed.
Workshops: If you are looking to publicise and trial a new tool or technique, or to brainstorm an idea, or to pass on useful practical information, please consider proposing a workshop. You will need to submit a descriptive paper of up to two pages which will be peer reviewed.
Within the event, we run a number of symposia which start with a lead presentation followed by up to eight further paper presentations on the same topic. At this event these symposia may include the following topics so we are particularly looking for submissions in these areas:
- Interaction design
- Practitioner issues
You must submit your paper, abstract or poster by 2nd October 2015 and you will be notified of reviewers’ decisions by 13th November 2015. A provisional programme will then be published. You must submit your final formatted paper by 4th December 2015.
For full details and to submit visit the event website at www.ehf2016.org.uk.
