Community
We're keen to encourage and support meetings and discussions about ergonomics and human factors topics among the community, and there are several ways you can become involved yourself. You don't have to be a member of the Institute to join a Regional Group or a Special Interest Group or take part in the forum.
Regional Groups
You could join your nearest Regional Group and expand your network of contacts locally.
Special Interest Groups
You can join one of our Special Interest Groups to collaborate with others working in the same field as you.
Forum
We have a discussion forum where you can ask questions and discuss any ergonomics or human factors related topics.
The Bridge
We also have a special facility for members called 'The Bridge'. This works in a similar way to a forum in that you can ask a question or provide information and other members can respond. However, it is specifically for people looking bridge the gap between research and practice - hence the name. You can use it to:
- get support, advice or collaboration
- suggest gaps in the literature
- discuss some ongoing applied research
- discuss some research application outcomes
- discuss the implications of some completed research
