The call for papers deadline for the 8th IET International System Safety Conference is 3 May 2013. For the second year, System Safety will incorporate the IET Cyber Security conference, giving participants the opportunity to network with and showcase their latest work among both disciplines.
On Tuesday 15 October 2013 the conference will provide a number of tutorials including two entitled: An Introduction to System Safety and An Introduction to Cyber Security to give delegates a chance to gain a foundation in either discipline before the main conference begins. Throughout the conference System Safety and Cyber Security presentations will be scheduled to enable delegates to choose to attend presentations dedicated to a single discipline or they can move freely between both.

A one day symposium organised by the Healthcare Special Interest Group of the IEHF.
This event will explore the positive contribution of human factors to patient and provider safety. You will learn about the latest methods, techniques and tools and hear from leading researchers and practitioners about approaches that work. There will be the opportunity to network and make contact with researchers, practitioners and clinicians.
Call for Abstracts
The abstract should describe recent research or a practical project applying human factors and ergonomics theory, methods or tools to improve patient or provider safety.
The abstract must be a maximum of 500 words in length and should include a statement of relevance of not more than 60 words.
The presentation time is 15 minutes plus 10 minutes for questions.
Abstracts will be peer reviewed. Successful authors will be notified by Monday 5 August.
