SUMMARY:Patient & Healthcare Provider Safety
DESCRIPTION:A one day symposium organised by the Healthcare Special Interest Group of the IEHF.    This event will explore the positive contribution of human factors to patient and provider safety. You will learn about the latest methods\, techniques and tools and hear from leading researchers and practitioners about approaches that work. There will be the opportunity to network and make contact with researchers\, practitioners and clinicians.    Call for Abstracts  The abstract should describe recent research or a practical project applying human factors and ergonomics theory\, methods or tools to improve patient or provider safety.  The abstract must be a maximum of 500 words in length and should include a statement of relevance of not more than 60 words.  The presentation time is 15 minutes plus 10 minutes for questions.  Abstracts will be peer reviewed. Successful authors will be notified by Monday 5 August.    Please submit your abstract by Friday 31 May to healthsig@ergonomics.org.uk.
